My Journey as a MEXT Ph.D. Scholar in Japan
Being awarded the prestigious MEXT scholarship has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my academic and personal life. I got this opportunity because of the dedicated work of my senior in our laboratory, whose achievements highlighted the importance of Japan as a global leader in science and technology and the value of MEXT in nurturing young researchers. As a chemist specializing in applied chemistry for OLED technology, I feel privileged to work under the supervision of one of the leading scientists in this field. The advanced research environment in Japan, combined with its commitment to technological innovation, continues to inspire me every day.
Beyond research, Japan has always fascinated me for its unique blend of tradition and modernity. The politeness, discipline, and kindness of its people have helped me overcome many challenges, especially the language barrier, which can be difficult for newcomers. Despite this, I have always found support and warmth in my interactions with colleagues and strangers alike.
Living here is truly enriching. The beauty of cherry blossoms in spring, the peacefulness of ancient shrines, and the breathtaking seaside and mountain landscapes make daily life feel special. Japan is not only a wonderful place for scientific exploration but also a country that touches the heart with its culture and serenity.
