To the place of "dialogue" with the unknown

The University of Tokyo is the oldest national university in Japan, founded in 1877. Our mission is to foster an "intellectual citizens with a futuristic global outlook" (from the University of Tokyo Charter) who can play a leading role in various fields at home and abroad. We conduct various education and research activities at 10 faculties and 15 graduate schools. There is a wide variety of members as well as education and research, and people from various countries and regions, students with different ideas and backgrounds are enrolled, and there are opportunities to meet diverse people.
We will continue to enhance learning opportunities and raise the standard of education and research so that diverse students from all over the world can learn with peace of mind. We aim to be a place of learning where people from around the world will want to come and join.
