Kochi University is a national university located in Kochi Prefecture, which is in the southern part of Shikoku. The university comprises six faculties—Science and Technology, Agriculture and Marine Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Medical School, Education, and Regional Collaboration—along with seven master’s courses, and three doctoral courses.
As a comprehensive university, Kochi University promotes education and research under the slogan ‘from Regionality to Globality and from Globality to Regionality’. It provides multidisciplinary education in fields such as regional studies, ocean science, disaster risk management, and medicine, aiming to nurture individuals who can make meaningful contributions to local communities and sustainable regional development.
We strive to offer a well-balanced general education that allows students to acquire not only specialized knowledge in their own fields but also diverse perspectives across various disciplines.
