Founded in 1992, Josai International University (JIU) is a global campus with locations in Togane, Chiba and Kioicho, Tokyo, where students from Japan and around the world, local community members, and faculty and staff with diverse backgrounds and experiences come together to learn and grow.
JIU has partnerships with 271 overseas partner institutions and is home to approximately 1,100 International Students. The university offers a comprehensive range of programs, including faculties in the Humanities and Social Sciences—such as International Humanities, Tourism, Management and Information Sciences, and Media Studies—as well as in the Health and Medical Sciences, including the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and, opening in April 2026, the Faculty of Health Sciences, which encompasses Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Social Welfare Studies.
In addition, JIU offers Graduate Schools and Japanese Studies Program for international students.
