Founded on the Zen ethos
of Zen Master Dōgen’s teachings of right mindfulness and the unity of practice
and study, Komazawa Women’s University sets the following mission statement for
its educational programs: “Facing rapid changes in the structure of society,
such as the progress of internationalization, information technology and women’s
social participation, we aim to nurture modern women of a rich humanity who can
fully realize themselves and become the creative leaders of new culture.”
