Today, the world faces a range of challenges that cannot be solved by remaining confined within the frameworks of the humanities and sciences. It is essential that people with diverse areas of expertise—regardless of whether they come from the humanities or sciences—pool their wisdom to tackle these challenges. This applies not only to the issues highlighted by the SDGs but also to the construction of sustainable social systems through technology (SX), which requires a broad perspective. The individuals who demonstrate leadership in such “co-creation” environments are precisely the “creative, inquisitive, and hands-on professionals who think and act independently, independently” that Kanazawa Institute of Technology has consistently sought to cultivate.
