Come study at Hokuriku University!
Hokuriku University is located in Kanazawa City
(population of 460,000), the capital of Ishikawa Prefecture. Kanazawa, with its
strong samurai culture, has a different atmosphere to Kyoto and its culture
tied with the history of the Imperial Court. In 2015, the Hokuriku Shinkansen
bullet train began operations and the National Crafts Museum, the first
national art museum on the Sea of Japan side, opened in October 2020. As a
result, Kanazawa has become one of the most popular places to visit in Japan. Blessed
with abundant nature, beautiful beaches can be savored in summer and skiing
activities enjoyed in winter. Furthermore, famous hot spring resorts are located
throughout Ishikawa. The cost of living in Kanazawa is relatively inexpensive and
is an extremely safe and comfortable place to live. Due to this wonderful environment, many international
students choose Kanazawa and Hokuriku University as their place to study in
Japan. In addition to the Japanese language classes and specialized subjects on
offer, we carry out a variety of cultural programs which take advantage of our
regional characteristics allowing you to deepen your understanding and
appreciation of Japan. We look forward to welcoming you to Hokuriku University!
