Creating a world where we can love what is different
【Department of Japanese Studies】
By learning Japanese as a foreign language in Japanese, students develop accurate communication skills. In classes where Japanese and international students with diverse nationalities and cultural backgrounds study together, they naturally cultivate intercultural communication competence.
In addition, through the Certified Japanese Language Teacher Training Program, students can obtain the national qualification to become a licensed Japanese language teacher. By gaining experience as Japanese language class assistants and through teaching practicums, they can build the skills needed to work as Japanese language educators both in Japan and abroad.
Be a Changemaker
【Department of Global Studies】
All specialized courses are conducted in English. Japanese students and international students from around the world study together, working alongside faculty members from Europe, the United States, and Asia to tackle global challenges.
Live together, learn together, and enjoy the experience together. Prepare for the future and gain the power to change the world!
【Department of Global Tourism】
This program views “tourism” as a means of communication for multicultural coexistence and explores it from diverse academic perspectives. Students develop analytical skills through the use of digital technologies such as AR and VR, and express their ideas in multiple languages.
The curriculum covers not only travel and hospitality business, regional revitalization, and community-based tourism, but also scientific approaches to understanding tourism.
Through specialized seminars and fieldwork in Japan and abroad—including hands-on experiences in Kyoto and other global cities—students gain practical knowledge and deepen their understanding through real-world engagement with people and cultures.
