2021 Study in Japan Virtual Fair

1.Objective

This fair is designed to promote study in Japan by providing information on Japan's study abroad system and higher education online so that students hoping to study in Japan and international students hoping to enter Japanese institutions of higher education can select appropriate ones and achieve a fruitful study abroad experience.

2.Date and Number of Exhibitors

Study in Japan Virtual Fair ("Virtual Fair") will be held 3 days each depending on the language. The schedule and the number of exhibitors are as follows.

3.Target Countries and Persons

Target Countries: All over the world including Japan.

Target Persons:

High school and university students who live outside Japan and wish to study in Japan, college guidance counselors, international educators, etc.

International students who are currently enrolled in Japanese language institutions in Japan and are planning to enter institutions of higher education in Japan, the instructors and staff of Japanese language institutions, etc.

4.Organizer, etc. (Tentative)

(3) Cooperators: Alumni associations, and other relevant organizations. (being adjusted)

5.Program

(1) Providing information on Fair website

We will launch a special website for the fair in English and Japanese, with information on exhibitors, a schedule of live sessions on the day of the fair, seminar information, video interviews with international students, etc.

(2) Live sessions by exhibitors (to be held on schedule in 3 above)

Each exhibitor will give a presentation on its educational content and strong points, followed by a question-and-answer session. Using Zoom, recorded live streams will be posted on the Study in Japan website for about one month only for those institutions that wish to receive it.

(3) Study in Japan virtual seminars

JASSO and each JASSO's overseas branches will hold the virtual seminars twice in August. JASSO will also hold seminars four times from October to November, 2021. These seminars will be conducted by the staff of JASSO or the teaching staff of exhibitors. The contents, which are designed to spark students' interest in studying in Japan, and Q&A sessions will be livestreamed on Zoom.
