Institute of Science Tokyo (Science Tokyo) was established on October 1, 2024, following the merger between Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech, founded in 1881) and Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU, founded in 1928), with the mission of “Advancing science and human wellbeing to create value for and with society."Science Tokyo invites students into world-class research, promoting an education where they learn and think for themselves. In addition to specialized education, it fosters the development of liberal arts and versatile skills, nurturing the ability to create new values in society.In addition to required programs in specialized fields, there are programs to cultivate a broad education and specialized skills, as well as degree programs through the selection of special educational courses, allowing diverse choices and challenges based on one's own interests and concerns.
